More Twists

February 22, 2010

It’s twist time again.  My hair needed a break so after my last wash, I conditioned with Trader Joe’s Nourish Spa and twisted my hair with some shealoe.  The pic above, which was taken 18 days ago, is of freshly washed and twisted hair.  The other pics below were taken today.

Last week,  I co-washed, oiled my scalp with castor oil and sealed the twists with Praises Kuumba Hair and Scalp Conditioner.  I sleep with a satin bonnet every night and spray my hair with a water, coconut oil and jojoba oil solution every other day or so.  I’ll be wearing these twists for about 2 more days.

There is no picture of your freshly washed hair…
Also how do you keep fuzziness at bay? I know that sometimes it’s unavoidable your hair doesn’t look that fuzzy despite the 18 days.

Uh oh. Technical difficulties. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will fix it asap (which might not be until later this evening).

Some fuzziness will occur. The main factor, I believe, is satin bonnets. I use a satin bonnet when sleeping and when I wear knit hats. Co-washing instead of my usual shampoo may have helped too.

      Thanks for reading.
